About Me

Michael Dalberg has been an amateur hobbyist photographer since high school, when he began shooting school events with a Graflex Speed Graphic Century camera. After graduation, he transitioned to Canon (AE-1 and T70) before moving to Nikon in 2004. Over the years, his Nikon journey has included the D70, D200, D7000, and a collection of favorite lenses, and he is currently shooting with the new Nikon Zf.

Alongside photography, Mike enjoyed an almost 50-year career in the apparel and footwear industry, while devoting his passion and free time to performing arts. As a singer and actor in the New Jersey and Florida theater communities, he has appeared in numerous productions including Oklahoma!, Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, The Music Man, Anything Goes, and The Wizard of Oz, among many others. He also sings with chorale groups and proudly performs the National Anthem for the St. Lucie Mets and at Rockin’ Riverwalk in Stuart, Florida.

Mike spent nearly a decade serving as a Board Trustee and Treasurer for the Phoenix Performing Arts Center, now part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey. His full résumé can be found at michaeldalberg.net.

Now retired and living in Port St. Lucie, Florida with his wife, Betty Ann, Mike is thrilled to have reunited with local friends to form the band Stubborn Bastards. He has recently picked up the guitar and jokes that it’s “about time” — finally joining a rock band at the ripe old age of ??.
